Lake Orta Roundtrip

A loop trail that develops along the shores of Lake Maggiore and Lake Orta.

Start from Stresa and cycle along Lake Maggiore until Arona, here proceed to Oleggio Castello, Borgomanero and Gozzano to reach Lake Orta.

Then cycle along the eastern shore of Lake Orta and reach Orta San Giulio, one of the most beautiful villages of Italy (quality mark Borghi più Belli d’Italia).

Then proceed to Omegna, still on Lake Orta and take a long straight road that leads to Gravellona Toce. Then follow directions to Feriolo and, cycling on the main road along the lake, reach Stresa.
